Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment performing routine MRI imaging on a night shift schedule.
Details
- Acute care hospital MRI department with 1 scanner/room
- Routine MRI imaging performed; no cardiac MRI
- Average of 15 scans/studies per day
- Equipment used includes a Siemens Sola MRI scanner
- EMR systems include Cerner (transitioning to Epic), Syngo Workflow for RIS, and Sectra PACS
- 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 PM
- No weekend or holiday coverage required
- No call or standby requirement
- Floating to other areas is optional and only if the candidate has the appropriate credentials
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (MRI) certifications required
- Must be able to start IVs
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform routine MRI imaging studies with an on-site radiologist available most of the time
- Department orientation includes MRI safety training
- Scrubs are provided on-site; personal scrubs are also permitted with no color restrictions
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months and require facility approval before being considered
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- 2 references are required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor and 1 from a peer or supervisor within the relevant specialty
