Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist requiring ARRT (R) certification and at least 1 year of mammography experience.
Details
- Outpatient imaging center setting
- Performs screening mammography exams only, with an expected pace of two exams per hour per technologist
- Bi-weekly schedule alternates between Monday/Friday and Tuesday/Friday workweeks, plus weekend shifts
- Weekday shifts typically run 0700-1630 or 1730, with Fridays scheduled Noon-2100
- Weekend shifts required on Saturday and Sunday from 0800-1700
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience required
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, screening mammograms, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient work settings
Additional Information
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
- Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a lower bill rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
