American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Edmond, OK, requiring at least one year of ED experience and AHA-issued certifications including ACLS and PALS.
Details- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week travel contract
- Trauma experience required
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
- Responsibilities include administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, monitoring physiological data, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans to patients and families and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply for a new contract (contracts may be extended once, up to a combined 26 weeks total)
- Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
