American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Georgetown, TX, requiring ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications and at least 1 year of ED experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting in a 23-bed unit at a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Typical procedures include cardioversion, TNK (Tenecteplase), and moderate sedation
- Unit staffing includes RNs, a Charge Nurse Coordinator (CNC), paramedics, and PCTs, with staffing levels adjusted based on patient volume
- EMR system: Meditech
- 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, and TNCC (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Unit utilizes dedicated CNCs who support staff and facilitate self-scheduling
- Collaborative work environment with strong provider-nursing teamwork and monthly Unit Based Council participation
- Scrub color required: Navy Blue
- Unit has been recognized with the ICARE award (2023) and the 2023 Mission: Lifeline Systems of Care Recognition for AHA CAD performance
- Welch Allyn and GE equipment used on the unit
