Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 18 months of experience and ARRT CT/R certification for a night shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based CT department serving adult acute care, adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, and Emergency Department populations
- Perform CT imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal system with and without contrast
- Special procedures include brain perfusion, vascular CTA, carotid, trauma head, and pulmonary/aortic vascular studies
- Uses GE and Philips CT equipment along with PACS
- Cerner charting system used
- Night shift schedule of 2x12 hours from 19:00-7:30, working Saturdays and Sundays
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of CT Technologist experience required
- Current ARRT CT and ARRT R certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Indiana or Compact license required if applicable, and must be in hand prior to start date
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing a range of CT imaging studies across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest/vascular procedures
- Must be comfortable working weekend night shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 19:00-7:30)
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; requests beyond that require facility approval
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted for this position
- Any current or former IU Health PRN or permanent employee must have a 12-month break in employment before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility, effective 2/24/26
