Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2 years of experience and ARRT registration to perform CT imaging procedures on evening shifts.
Details
- Work in the CT department performing computerized tomography imaging procedures
- Evening shift schedule with 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per shift
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science
- Registration as a CT Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technology Certification required
- License required if applicable
- Strong understanding of human anatomy through education or experience
- Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders
- Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat preferred
- Certification and experience working with PACS preferred
Additional Information
- Conduct CT screenings ensuring safe equipment function and optimal image quality
- Review and interpret imaging orders, consulting with radiologists on complex or unclear cases
- Obtain patient consent for contrast injections and establish IV access for contrast administration
- Draw blood for kidney function evaluation using GFR analysis on point-of-care-testing equipment under laboratory supervision
- Interview patients to assess risk factors and medical history relevant to exam safety
- Select appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on anatomy, pathology, and equipment capabilities
- Guide patients, including those who are distressed, through exams with clear communication and cultural competency
