Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 16-week travel contract, requiring ARRT certification, Epic proficiency, and the ability to independently scan traumas in a university medical center setting.
Details
- CT Scan department at a large academic teaching hospital and university medical center
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with weekend coverage required — ARRT CT technologists must be available every weekend
- Block scheduling is not available for any reason
- 16-week contract
- Charting is done in Epic; experience must be from within the past 2 years
- Philips equipment experience is preferred
- No float requirement
Requirements
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- VT license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similarly sized academic teaching facility
- Demonstrated ability to independently scan traumas
- Proficiency in Epic EMR from within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Must be able to independently start peripheral IVs (PIVs) — this skill is essential for success in this role
- Two professional references required: at least one from a supervisor or nurse manager within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration

- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays

- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; a tiered rate structure applies based on distance from the facility (local: 0–50 miles, radius: 51–100 miles, travel: 101 miles), measured by direct line distance
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November through April) is strongly recommended
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
- All work history must include facility bed count, EMR used, and facility type
