Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in an FSED imaging setting, performing X-ray and CT on walk-in patients only.
Details
- Hospital-based imaging department (CAT Scan unit) within a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting
- Walk-in patients only — this location does not receive ambulance transport
- Scope of work includes X-ray and CT imaging only; no needle procedures or fluoroscopy
- Night shift schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
- Flexibility to work other shifts or at other campuses may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology, or CT required; ARRT or NMTCB CT certification required
- Texas MRT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Basic computer proficiency required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced CT and X-ray exams, supporting patient throughput, and ensuring completed exams are properly stored in PACS
- Must be able to troubleshoot basic equipment issues, participate in QA, and follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser
- Expected to participate in ongoing education and technical advancement within scope of licensure
- Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have been separated for at least 6 months before being considered for this assignment
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a radius rule
