Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Radiology - CT Scanning unit in Morristown, NJ, requiring ARRT RT(CT) certification and an active NJ license.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department, CT Scanning unit
- Patient population includes emergency, trauma, and scheduled diagnostic cases
- Procedures include routine CT scans, contrast-enhanced studies, Code Grey/Trauma imaging, and CT-guided biopsies/drainage
- Uses PACS/RIS system for image acquisition, processing, and verification
- Epic EMR
- 3x13 hour shifts per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- On-call required
- May float to other nearby sister hospital locations
Requirements
- ARRT RT(R) and ARRT RT(CT) certifications required
- NJ State X-Ray License (NJDEP) required
- Active NJ license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Radiographer/Radiography training program required
- Venipuncture and power injector experience required
- Experience with PACS/RIS systems
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform routine and emergent CT procedures including contrast-enhanced studies, Code Grey, trauma, and partial trauma imaging per established protocols
- Responsible for triaging procedures, coordinating emergency and unscheduled requests, and maintaining efficient workflow within the CT section
- Screens patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities; monitors patient condition before and after contrast injections
- Maintains QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications and reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Assists with supply inventory, stocking, and cleanliness of CT rooms and equipment after each use
- Notifies radiologist immediately of Code Grey image transmissions and any unusual patient findings
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
