Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience and current ARRT certification for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging setting covering both CT and general radiography
- Performs routine and emergent diagnostic imaging using fixed and portable X-ray equipment as well as CT
- Processes images through PACS for radiologist interpretation
- Schedules patients for X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, DXA, and Holter Monitor appointments
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and call
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT R.T.(R) certification required
- Active state license required if applicable
- Proficiency in radiographic procedures, radiation physics, and human anatomy and physiology
- Experience with PACS and electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Ability to perform proper patient positioning and apply ALARA radiation safety principles
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs both routine and emergent CT and radiographic imaging procedures following radiologist protocols
- Responsible for adjusting exposure settings and patient positioning to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure
- Assists patients with contrast media administration for CT exams
- Participates in quality control related to equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety
- Involves patient scheduling across multiple imaging modalities including MRI, ultrasound, DXA, and Holter Monitor
- Rotation of weekends and call required
