American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift contract at a Level III Trauma acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details- Level III Trauma, acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- CT department performing inpatient, ER, outpatient (Fridays only), and scheduled interventional cases (Fridays only)
- Patient population ranges from newborn through geriatrics
- 4x10 evening shifts, Monday through Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- On-call rotation covering Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:00 AM, rotating among staff approximately every 4–5 weeks; call may be activated for staff callouts or high patient volume/trauma surges
- No floating to other service lines or sister facilities
- Epic EMR (experience preferred)
- Skills required include IV placement, contrast administration, biopsies, and PACS system
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (CT) and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
- AHA BLS required
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology with ARRT certification
- SC state license required if applicable — license must be active and in hand prior to start
- Proficiency with PACS, peripheral IV starts, contrast media preparation and administration, and biopsy procedures
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked at any MUSC location as permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All RTO must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requests after submission will not be accepted
- Completion of facility modules is required prior to the start of the assignment
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- Scrub colors are teal top and black bottom
- Parking is free
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
