Description
American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience, previous charge experience preferred, and proficiency in electrophysiology studies and cardiac procedures.
Details
- Electrophysiology lab setting with both inpatient and outpatient cases
- Procedures include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, LAA (Watchman) closure, tilt table studies, and stress tests
- Skills include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulation, scrubbing/sterile field maintenance, baseline measurements, and EP evaluation
- Additional procedures include cardiac cath lab procedures, temporary pacemaker placement, and phlebotomy
- 3x12 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- No call required
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Epic EMR required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of EP Lab or Cardiology Tech experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Preferred certifications: ARRT (R) and ARRT Advanced Certification
- Previous charge or lead experience preferred
- Proficiency in recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, sinus node rhythms, holter monitoring, and obtaining vitals
- Epic EMR experience required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff at any Providence (non-Swedish) facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Former permanent staff cannot be located within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility in any capacity should be prepared to disclose location and dates of employment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
