Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac and interventional radiology procedures for a 13-week acute care contract.
Details
- Work in an acute care hospital cardiac cath lab with 2 procedure rooms
- Cardiac and interventional radiology (IR) procedures performed; no EP cases at this location
- Common cases include coronary, vascular, and IR procedures
- Average of 6 cases per day across the lab
- Techs scrub, monitor, and circulate cases
- Charting in Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- On-call required Monday–Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM–6:30 AM (1–2 nights per weeknight)
- On-call every 3rd weekend, covering Friday–Sunday from 6:30 AM–6:30 AM
- Holiday call coverage required as needed
- Call response time is 30 minutes
- Occasional floating to 1:1 sitter coverage
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience with cardiac and IR procedures
- Proficiency in scrubbing, panning, and general x-ray knowledge
- Knowledge of IR and cardiac case workflows required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- License required if applicable

- Equipment used includes Cerner and Merge imaging systems
- Hospital provides light blue scrubs
- Orientation consists of 8 hours on day 1, with a department binder to be completed within the first week
- 2 references are required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to the date of consideration, and hospital approval is required
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, which may affect the applicable pay rate
