Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification for a travel assignment in Norwalk, CT.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
- Procedures include cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, arterial closure, and other invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Shift times are 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with on-call requirements after hours, on weekends, and on holidays
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab experience required
- State of CT Radiographer license required if applicable
- ARRT (R) and/or RCIS certification required
- Only AHA certifications are accepted for BLS and ACLS
- Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same specialty are required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing and utilizing sterile technique for invasive cardiovascular procedures, preparing surgical trays and materials, and assisting the cardiologist with arterial closure devices and sheath removal
- Monitors patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collects and enters patient data into the physiologic monitoring system, and generates procedure reports
- Conducts pre-procedure patient interviews including medical history review, lab value assessment, patient and family education, and informed consent
- Prepares and calibrates radiographic, hemodynamic, and other cath lab equipment prior to procedures
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
- Travelers with prior work history at this health system may be subject to a review process to determine eligibility to return
