American Textile & Apparel Inc. (ATA) is a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer with operations in Mexico and Honduras, serving major U.S. customers across healthcare, uniforms, and retail.
We are looking for a hands-on Controller who can take full ownership of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will be expected to understand the business, and ensure financial discipline across multiple operations.
You will work closely with executive leadership and play a key role in maintaining financial stability, improving processes, and supporting strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, cost accounting)
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain and enforce strong internal controls and compliance procedures
- Lead cash flow management and working capital optimization
- Supervise and develop accounting staff (domestic and international coordination)
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable tax regulations
- Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and banks
- Monitor production costing, margins, and operational efficiency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience managing multi-entity and/or international operations is a big plus
- Must have hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1)
- Advanced Excel skills (comfortable building and auditing models)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, but able to see the big picture
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
