Saw Operator / Shop Helper

Band Saw Operator / Drill Press Operator -1st shift position at manufacturer.

Operate band saw to cut metal with accuracy and help installers in the field

Also train on other shop equipment and move materials.

Learn forklift driving, operating shear and / or press brake.

Possibly other metal fabrication too.

Math, measuring, prints and patterns. $20-21 /hour

Immediate opening metal saw operator , CNC or manual band saw operator on light to medium gauge steel, some aluminum.

You would learn and grow in the trade of metal fabrication and material handling.

• Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
• Set blade tensions, heights, and angles to perform prescribed cuts, using wrenches.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.

Qualifications

Tape measure reading experience with metals or wood shop. Valid D.L.
