Waterjet / CNC Punch & Plasma Operator
American Tank Company – New Iberia, LA
American Tank Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Waterjet / CNC Punch & Plasma Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment used in steel fabrication, including waterjet cutting, CNC punch, and plasma machines.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate waterjet, CNC punch, and plasma cutting equipment.
- Read and follow work orders and production specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and inspections.
- Change tooling and machine components as required.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality production.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Work closely with shop supervisors and other production personnel.
QualificationsWaterjet Operator
- Previous waterjet machine operating experience preferred.
- Experience with machine setup and calibration.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
CNC Punch & Plasma Operator
- Experience operating CNC punch and/or plasma equipment preferred.
- Understanding of basic machine functions and shop practices.
- Ability to perform tooling changes and routine maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and receive training on specialized equipment.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and basic machine knowledge.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a production setting.
