Class A CDL Truck Driver (Regional)

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate an 18-wheeler on regional routes. This is a company driver position using equipment leased through ACME.

Drivers will also have opportunities to operate the company’s mini float trailer for additional revenue.

Duties

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer (18-wheeler), ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met.
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, verifying shipments against delivery paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
• Maintain accurate/detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with federal regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat endorsement and Twic card
• No felony convictions
• Clean driving record (3 years)
• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license.
• Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely.
• Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with route driving across regional areas with knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Ability to handle freight securely and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
