What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onsite AV Service Technician position at American Sound?
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Onsite Audio-Visual Service Technician to join our team at American Sound and Electronics in Nashville, with an initial focus on supporting AV systems installation and later expanding to a service role. This role involves ensuring the reliable setup, maintenance, and operation of audio-visual equipment across varied environments. Job Responsibilities:
- Remounting monitors, speakers, and microphones
- Loading programing and DSP files to hardware and networked devices
- Assisting with setup and support of Remote Monitoring tools like Utelogy, XiO, and Reflect
- Ticket & RMA management
- Updating and providing feedback for as built drawings
- System recommissioning and end user training
- Some travel required depending on project and skillset
- Specialty tools and van provided
Job Requirements:
- Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years and deep knowledge of AV systems
- CTS preferred
- Experience reading line drawings
- Component level experience with AV/UC manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, AMX, Logi, Cisco, Poly, etc.
- Updating DSP and AV configuration files
- Great customer skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and communication
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and use a ladder
Job Details and Compensation:
- Pay- $35-40/hr with potential bonus at year end
- Shift Time and Days- 8am-4:30pm, M-F
- Company vehicle provided
