American Sign & Lighting is hiring an experienced Electrician to join our growing commercial service team.
We are looking for a dependable professional with strong troubleshooting skills who takes pride in diagnosing electrical problems and completing quality repairs.
Licensed Delaware Journeyperson Electricians are strongly encouraged to apply. We will also consider experienced Apprentice Electricians with relevant hands-on commercial, service, or troubleshooting experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform electrical service calls at commercial properties
- Troubleshoot electrical, lighting, and control systems
- Diagnose problems involving wiring, panels, circuits, contactors, ballasts, fixtures, and related equipment
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment
- Recommend effective repair solutions
- Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with customers and the service team
- Document completed service work
What We’re Looking For
- Active Delaware Journeyperson Electrician license or Apprentice Electrician license/registration
- At least one year of hands-on professional electrical experience
- Commercial electrical service or troubleshooting experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to complete field work with limited supervision
- Dependable and committed to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to commute to Milford, Delaware, for in-person field work
Preferred Experience
- Commercial or exterior lighting repair
- Bucket truck or aerial lift operation
- Sign lighting service
- Panels, transformers, contactors, and ballasts
- Lighting controls or energy-management systems
- Independent service-call experience

Schedule
- Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
