Build a Career Solving Plumbing Problems, Not Just Clearing Drains
American Rooter Plumbing is looking for an experienced Residential Drain Technician to join our growing team. Our technicians stay busy year-round with a steady flow of residential service calls throughout the Omaha and Council Bluffs metro. This role goes beyond simply clearing clogged drains. You'll diagnose the underlying cause of plumbing problems, educate homeowners on their options, and help protect their plumbing systems through professional recommendations and exceptional service.
As your experience grows, you'll also have opportunities to expand into residential plumbing repairs, sewer replacements, repipes, and other advanced plumbing services.
Why Join American Rooter Plumbing?
As a Residential Drain Technician, you'll respond to residential drain and sewer service calls, inspect and clear clogged drain lines, identify the source of recurring plumbing issues, and provide homeowners with honest recommendations for long-term solutions. You'll evaluate the condition of drain and sewer systems, perform drain cleaning services, document findings using ServiceTitan, and communicate clearly with customers throughout the service process.
You'll work independently while maintaining close communication with the office team, ensuring every customer receives professional service and every job is completed safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail. As your skills develop, you'll have opportunities to assist with plumbing repairs, sewer line replacements, and additional residential plumbing services.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates with previous drain cleaning or residential plumbing experience who have strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for solving problems. Successful candidates can identify issues beyond the immediate blockage, communicate recommendations clearly, and provide homeowners with outstanding customer service.
Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software is preferred but not required. Applicants should be dependable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing service calls independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
