Position Summary

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Apprentice Technician to support our experienced service technicians and installers in the Glen Burnie, Maryland area. This is a role designed for individuals looking to learn the ins and outs of commercial overhead door systems, loading dock equipment, and related mechanical and electrical systems. You will work alongside our seasoned professionals, gaining the skills needed to grow into a full technician or installer role.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of:
• Rolling steel doors
• Sectional doors
• Dock equipment and levelers
• High-speed doors
• Entry doors and automatic pedestrian doors
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Support fabrication and welding tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
• Follow instructions from lead technicians and supervisors
• Provide excellent service and communication to customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically inclined and eager to learn
• Experience with electrical or construction preferred
• Able to safely lift 75 pounds overhead
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong desire to grow into a skilled trade position
• Must be punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
