Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Utilize dental imaging and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and formulate effective treatment strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency.
- Maintain precise medical documentation and update electronic health records using practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Denticon.
- Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care to foster understanding and comfort.
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implant placement preferred.
- Familiarity with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Denticon.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis standards.
- Commitment to infection control practices aligned with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care and education.
