Respiratory Therapy Director - Skilled Nursing Facilities
Located in Ashtabula County, OH & Lake County, OH
Travel Required; overseeing three skilled nursing facilities
Salary: $40/HR - $50/HR (based on experience)
Qualifications:
- Must have managerial experience overseeing respiratory department
- Must have Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and current CPR Card
- Must have nursing home experience
Responsibilities of the Respiratory Director:
- Planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Vent Unit and Respiratory Department
- Work directly with the Respiratory Therapy staff to provide top-quality respiratory care services to the patients in the unit
- Provide essential leadership and administrative support for the health organization as a whole
- Perform clinical assessments, which includes, but not limited to: BS, cough, sputum, dyspnea, pain, fever, hearing, skin color, vision, vital signs, circulation, spirometry, mental status, activity and medicine profile
- Responsible for routine patient follow-up contacts based on policy and procedures and individual patient needs
- Provide ongoing client visits for equipment maintenance and care planning
- Maintain good relations with clients and consults with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical conditions and home environments
