Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily clinical operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation to optimize practice efficiency.
- Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, billing processes, and documentation accuracy using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
- Supervise and mentor administrative staff and clinical team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with healthcare policies.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and monitoring practice expenses to maintain financial health.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and health regulation policies while maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.
- Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, training programs, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment.
- Support clinic operations in various specialties including dental, acute care, hospital settings or veterinary practices as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice coordination with familiarity in managing teams within clinical environments.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a healthcare setting.
- Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft; proficiency in managing electronic health records is essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health policy standards like JCAHO accreditation requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and administrative documentation.
- Background in nursing or medical administrative support is highly desirable; acute care or hospital experience is a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and manage multiple priorities efficiently in a busy practice setting.
