Junior Staff Accountant
Location: DeKalb, IL | Hybrid
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year | Full benefits
Reports to: Senior Accountant
About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations with focus on Accounts Receivable analysis and reporting. You will work closely with senior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions and reporting.

What You’ll Do:
Account Reconciliations & Reporting
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable & Credit Card Reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- General Ledger Journal Entries
- Financial Statement Preparation
Monthly Financial Period Close Processing
- Prepare month end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, deferrals
- Initiate bi-weekly payroll journal entries after product line allocations
- Create and maintain support schedules for journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare month end financial statements
- Assist with annual Audit engagement
Who You Are:
- 1-3 years’ experience performing traditional accounting functions – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Balance Sheet account reconciliations, month end journal entries
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of GAAP, ASC 606 and internal controls
- Intermediate to Advanced (Preferred) Excel skillset
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
