Part-Time Forklift Operator (As Needed)

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Forklift Operator to join our team on an as-needed basis. This position operates Monday through Friday and is ideal for someone with prior lumber yard or bundle-handling experience who is looking for flexible, part-time work.
Position Summary
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling bundles of lumber, unloading and loading shipments, and checking in incoming trucks to ensure accuracy of materials and paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to unload and load bundles of lumber
- Safely move, stack, and organize lumber within the yard
- Check in incoming trucks and verify loads upon arrival
- Ensure all paperwork, tags, and load documentation are accurate and complete
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to corporate office
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience is required, specifically handling bundles of lumber
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in an outdoor yard environment
- Experience with checking load paperwork and identifying lumber tags
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, as needed
- Monday through Friday
- Pay is issued on a per-load basis
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
