Senior Landscape DesignerClassification: Full-Time / ExemptPay Range: $85,000 – $100,000 Position Core ProfileThe Senior Landscape Designer leads the planning, development, and execution of complex landscape design projects across residential, commercial, and enhancement portfolios. As the senior design authority within the branch, the Senior Landscape Designer supports high-impact sales initiatives, mentors' junior designers, and ensures seamless integration of design concepts into field execution. The Senior Landscape Designer combines expert technical knowledge with creative vision and business acumen to deliver client-focused, revenue-generating solutions. DifferentiatorsAdvanced Design Leadership: The Senior Landscape Designer oversees complex master plans, large-scale redesigns, and multi-phase enhancement packages across key accounts.Strategic Sales Partner: The Senior Landscape Designer acts as a design lead in major enhancement proposals, partnering with Account Managers and leadership to drive growth.Mentorship and Oversight: The Senior Landscape Designer guides and reviews work of junior designers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and high-quality visual output.Technical Expertise: The Senior Landscape Designer brings advanced CAD or design software proficiency, with deep field knowledge of installation methods, plant material, and construction details.Field-to-Design Integration: The Senior Landscape Designer performs high-level site analysis, cost evaluation, and design reviews to ensure field feasibility and aesthetic excellence. AccountabilitiesLead the conceptualization, development, and delivery of landscape master plans, high-value enhancements, and specialty projects as the Senior Landscape Designer.Perform complex site assessments including elevation, drainage, grading, and spatial relationships.Review and approve junior designer work for accuracy, clarity, and field feasibility.Partner with Account Managers and Branch leadership on high-value enhancement proposals and presentations.Attend client meetings and site walks to capture design intent and present concepts.Oversee handoff of design to operations and conduct pre/post-installation audits.Mentor Landscape Designers and support onboarding and training.Collaborate with estimators, purchasers, and operations teams to align materials and timelines.
