Job Overview:
We’re seeking a reliable, customer-focused Pawn Broker and Sales Associate to join our team. This role is a combination of retail sales, customer service, and appraisal of merchandise. You’ll assist customers with loans, purchases, and sales while ensuring a secure and respectful experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Evaluate and appraise items for pawn or purchase (jewelry, electronics, tools, etc.)
- Perform retail sales of merchandise in-store
- Negotiate loan terms and purchase prices with customers
- Maintain accurate records of transactions in the point-of-sale system
- Handle cash and conduct financial transactions securely
- Clean, organize, and restock merchandise displays
- Ensure all pawned items are processed, tagged, and stored properly
- Uphold all company policies and comply with state and federal laws
- Help with opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior retail, pawn, or sales experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge of electronics, tools, or jewelry is a plus
- Must be comfortable handling cash and high-value items
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass a background check

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
