The Assistant Football Coach - Offense at American International College (AIC) plays a vital role in the success of the football program. This position is responsible for assisting the Head Football Coach in all phases of the program, with a primary focus on the offensive aspects of intercollegiate football and is heavily involved in recruiting student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching & Instruction:
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and execution of all team practices, drills, and training sessions, focusing specifically on the offensive unit.
- Provide individual and small-group instruction to offensive position groups (e.g., quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, offensive line), enhancing fundamental skills and scheme knowledge.
- Develop and implement game plans, analyze opponents' defensive schemes, and scout future opponents.
- Must have a comprehensive background assisting in all aspects of the offensive side of college football.
- Experience as an Offensive Coordinator or with play-calling responsibilities is highly encouraged.
- Recruiting:
- Actively recruit student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of AIC and the football program.
- Coordinate official and unofficial campus visits for prospective student athletes.
- Maintain detailed records of all recruiting activities and correspondence.
- Program Administration:
- Assist with the daily operations of the football program, including equipment management, travel arrangements, and practice scheduling.
- Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations and policies.
- Participate in fundraising, community engagement, and alumni relations activities as assigned.
- Monitor the academic progress and welfare of student-athletes.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Head Football Coach and must work collaboratively with all members of the athletic department staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to teach offensive football strategies and techniques.
- Proven record of successful student-athlete recruitment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience as an Offensive Coordinator or play-caller at the collegiate level.
Salary : $42,000 - $45,000
