This position will be based at our Chicago location and reports into the Commercial organization.

Job Duties
- Establish and enhance relationships withs new and existing small to medium size customers.
- Propose and negotiate lease terms and conditions.
- Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met.
- Effectively use the Salesforce.com CRM tool to manage call reports, opportunities, customer, and market information
- Maintain and update the Commercial Events’ Calendar as needed.
- Develop and execute a sales business plan that will achieve corporate revenue goals.
- Knowledge of the North American rail industry, railcar types and their commodity applications
- Understanding of operating lease terms and conditions
- Ability to negotiate contract terms.
- Excellent sales ability with a focus on long-term relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Cold calling skills are a must.
- Strong Salesforce skills required.
- Some travel to visit customers and industry conferences is required.
- 3 plus years of comparable or relevant experience in the rail and or logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of the Rail sector and ability to discuss market dynamics.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
