Sales/Customer Support Representative

for our dealership in Wheeler, Kansas.

American Implement is looking for a Sales/Customer Support Representative who is familiar with the agricultural practices in the area. This person will use their interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and organizational skills to develop sales leads and provide solutions to customers. Being able to present oneself in a professional manner and possessing great communication skills will aid in the success of this role. Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a clean motor vehicle record. EOE.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Represents the company for the promotion and sale of new and used agricultural line of products.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly.
• Maintains sales management information for all customers in assigned territory.
• Calls on customers and/or travels to customer locations to perform follow-up activities on complete goods, parts and service sales.
• Knows and follows a defined sales process in CRM as per AI guidelines & policy.
• Ensures effective communication in maintained with appropriate sales staff, other departments, and customers to meet individual sales objectives.
• Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
• Demonstrates equipment and provides field start-up support.
• Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management.
• Ensures customers have received an anticipated level of service and assistance with their questions or concerns.
• Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years of equipment sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Strong interpersonal/customer-service skills.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
  
  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance and occasional lift up to 50 lbs. Position also requires driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, speaking, and seeing. Must be able to load and unload trailer with equipment safely in various types of weather.
