American Home Energy Savers, Sacramento’s premier home improvement company, is electrifying the Greater Sacramento area and seeking a CERTIFIED JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN to join our skilled and dedicated team.
Electricians must be dedicated to a high level of quality and accuracy in their work and have the ability to communicate effectively to customers and their team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervising apprentices, material handlers
- Terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices
- Install/connect wires to circuit breakers transformers, outlets or other
- Electrical wiring of installing raceways around residential applications include roofs, attics, walls
- Pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit
- Planning and laying out jobs
- Perform all construction tasks per manufacturer’s installation guidelines
- Perform site survey activities with a team and independently
- Maintaining good working relationships with customers
- Assist in tracking inventory for each project
- Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Clean up the job site
- Monitoring safety in the field
- Conducting regular safety meetings
- Completing regular reports and paperwork
- Handling claims and change orders
Job Requirements:
- Electricians must provide proof of CA Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and local and state electric/ building codes required.
- Electricians must have a clear understanding of lock out and tag out.
- Must be able to climb ladders, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must have minimal ability to squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach lift, balance, carry, push, and pull
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- A DMV and criminal background check will be required upon receipt of a conditional job offer for this position.
- Must be able to travel to job site locations
- Ability to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily
- Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily
- Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily
- Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges), on a daily basis
- Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc)
