Journeyman Electrician

American Home Energy Savers, Sacramento’s premier home improvement company, is electrifying the Greater Sacramento area and seeking a CERTIFIED JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN to join our skilled and dedicated team.

Electricians must be dedicated to a high level of quality and accuracy in their work and have the ability to communicate effectively to customers and their team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising apprentices, material handlers

• Terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices

• Install/connect wires to circuit breakers transformers, outlets or other

• Electrical wiring of installing raceways around residential applications include roofs, attics, walls

• Pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit

• Planning and laying out jobs

• Perform all construction tasks per manufacturer’s installation guidelines

• Perform site survey activities with a team and independently

• Maintaining good working relationships with customers

• Assist in tracking inventory for each project

• Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

• Clean up the job site

• Monitoring safety in the field

• Conducting regular safety meetings

• Completing regular reports and paperwork

• Handling claims and change orders

Job Requirements:

• Electricians must provide proof of CA Journeyman Electrician certification.

• Proficient knowledge of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and local and state electric/ building codes required.

• Electricians must have a clear understanding of lock out and tag out.

• Must be able to climb ladders, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods.

• Must have minimal ability to squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach lift, balance, carry, push, and pull

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

• A DMV and criminal background check will be required upon receipt of a conditional job offer for this position.

• Must be able to travel to job site locations

• Ability to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily

• Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily

• Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily

• Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges), on a daily basis

• Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
