Job Overview
This job is night shift, 9pm to 5:30am. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify circuit integrity.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation projects.
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general handyman tasks as needed.
- Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards, local codes, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate high voltage equipment safely during installation or maintenance activities on construction sites or industrial facilities.
- Utilize schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical systems in accordance with industry best practices.
- Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced team members when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating proven electrical expertise.
- Extensive experience working as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical installations.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage applications.
- Ability to work safely with high voltage equipment in diverse environments including construction sites and industrial facilities.
- Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or general handyman tasks is a plus.
