Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the accounts payable process. By maintaining detailed and organized financial records, the Accounting Clerk supports the broader finance team in preparing reports and audits. Ultimately, this role assists in ensuring that all accounting activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards, facilitating informed financial decision-making.

General Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval workflows.
- Assist accounts payable by recording and tracking payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare accounts payable checks
- Review and approve all vouchers for payment
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation to support audits and reporting requirements.
- Answer vendor inquiries as needed
- Assist with accruals and month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Compile accounts payable reports and analysis of accounts
- Ensures transaction accuracy
- Receive, verify and reconcile expense reports
- Assist with accounts receivable and special projects as needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to support financial operations and resolve issues.
- To ensure continuity of operations within the accounting department, this position will provide coverage to other positions within the department and will require the ability to cross-train.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field a plus
- 1-2 years of related experience; knowledge in manufacturing accounting practices a plus

- Ability to climb steps
- This position is a full-time, 40-hour, onsite position at our facility in Clarington, Ohio.
- Overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
