American Health Formulations (AHF) is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B sales, with a focus on technology and technical sales. This role involves engaging with potential clients through outbound and warm calling, manage customer relationships, and driving business development initiatives. The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities: (but are not limited to the following)
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various regions and markets to expand AHF’s customer base and support revenue growth.
- Promote AHF’s full range of contract packaging and manufacturing capabilities, including tablets, capsules, powders, and packaging services for various nutraceutical formats.
- Generate and manage leads, conduct outreach, and build strong relationships with prospective clients.
- Manage customer contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and agreement terms in alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
- Meet or exceed revenue targets, margin goals, and other assigned KPI’s.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, ensuring excellent service and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather and understand customer requirements, and collaborate internally to prepare quotes, timelines, samples, and technical documentation.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term customer relationships through proactive support and high-level service.
- Keep CRM pipelines, opportunity tracking, and sales forecasting records accurate and up to date.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to align customer needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support project timelines, documentation needs, and successful execution of customer orders.
- Partner with Finance and Senior Management to support accurate forecasting, budgeting, and internal reporting.
- Identify other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management
Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Life Science or a related field preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Dietary Supplements industry
- Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and terms with customers.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to meet established sales goals and performance metrics through consistent outreach, pipeline management, and effective territory or account development.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present product information clearly and professionally.
- Proven organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple inquiries, follow-ups, and sales activities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate quotes, track customer requirements, and support order processing.
- Ability to negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with Procurement, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Accounting teams.
- Adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to learn new product lines, market trends, and customer needs.
- Professional demeanor with a high level of integrity, discretion, and accountability in handling customer information and company data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfortable learning internal CRM or tracking systems.
Physical Demands:
- Required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and tools
- Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds with the possibility to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Work in an office environment
- May be in contact with Allergens (Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, and Soybeans)
- Potential to move between production and warehouse areas to complete job functions, include close proximity to heavy machinery and powders
- This position is onsite with flexibility for selected work from home days
We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K with match.
Compliance with New York State Human Rights Pay Transparency Law, the annual base salary range for this position is $85,000-120000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AHF considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
