Maintenance & Electrical Intern

American Gypsum is seeking a motivated intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This internship provides exposure to many areas of the business, including mining, quality control, environmental compliance, warehousing, and production, with a primary focus on maintenance and electrical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance and electrical teams with supervised projects and daily activities.

• Learn about preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and electrical systems.

• Observe and support operations across production, mining, quality, environmental, and warehouse functions.

• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training.

• Help maintain accurate project, inspection, and maintenance documentation.

• Complete an assigned project or presentation related to the internship experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a technical, electrical, maintenance, engineering, or related program.

• Interest in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or electrical systems.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work safely in an industrial environment.

• Ability to meet the physical and scheduling requirements of the position.
