You will operate out of a company-provided mobile repair van, performing on-course service calls, preventative maintenance, and technological support (including GPS screens and controllers) to ensure a safe, reliable, and user-friendly fleet.
What You’ll Do
Golf Car Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a 300-unit golf car fleet
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and battery-related issues
- Ensure all golf cars meet safety and performance standards
- Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and parts usage records
- Troubleshoot and diagnose GPS screen software and programming issues
- Program, update, and configure golf car controllers and GPS tablets
- Perform software/firmware updates and verify proper operation after changes
- Collaborate with vendors or internal support for complex GPS or controller issues
- Operate a company mobile repair van to provide on-course and on-site service
- Respond quickly and professionally to breakdowns and service calls
- Safely operate and move golf cars and related equipment around the property
- Occasionally assist with other course equipment as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times
- Immediately report major malfunctions or safety concerns to your Supervisor
- Conduct yourself professionally around members, guests, and teammates
- Early mornings required
- Weekdays as primary schedule
- One half day on weekends
- Occasional holidays, based on operational needs
- Experience as a mechanic/technician (golf cars, small engines, automotive, power sports, or similar) preferred
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose GPS screen software and programming, including:
- Programming golf car controllers
- Programming and configuring GPS tablets
- Familiarity with 12V/48V electrical systems, batteries, and chargers is a plus
- Comfortable using laptops/tablets and diagnostic tools for software/firmware updates
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow established processes and safety standards
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, lifting, stretching, kneeling, and working in tight spaces
- Comfortable working outdoors in the heat and sun for prolonged periods
- Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Pay range: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience
