Safe and efficient operation of production machinery including Seamers, Slitters, Rewinders, and Core Cutters.
Specific Responsibilities
- Prepares production supplies including boxes and cores.
- Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery.
- Conducts general set up of production machinery.
- Installs plates, rollers, guides, blades, and related equipment on machinery.
- Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements.
- Enters tolerances and parameters into machine computer.
- Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine.
- Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift.
- Routinely checks product samples against job specifications.
- Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects.
- Completes required paperwork for each job.
- Packs finished product for shipment to customer.
- Cleans up machine and work area.
- Meets production and quality goals.
- Assists in training of new employees.
- Assists with other tasks as needed.
- Complies with all Plant Rules.
- All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team and permitted by the existing union contract language.
