As our Plant Production Planner, you will:
- Firm-up Planned Manufacturing Orders.
- Create new Manufacturing Orders as needed.
- Adjust the Bill of Materials to reflect actual raw materials/supplies being utilized.
- Confirm raw materials/supplies needed are available and located in the Production staging location.
- Monitor Production Receipts to verify the schedule is being followed.
- Maintain the Manufacturing Orders as needed.
- Coordinate with the AFG Corporate Scheduler to make sure customer expectations are met.
- Collaborate with the Item Master Guru to help maintain the standard Bill of Materials.
- Work with Plant Purchasing and Corporate Purchasing Teams to ensure that Production has sufficient supplies.
- Provide support to the Plant Production Team so that they can fulfill Manufacturing Orders.
- Verify raw materials/supplies have been moved out of the Production staging location after the shift.
- Adjust the actual operations, actual materials, and production receipts for Manufacturing Orders.
- Close Manufacturing Orders

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older required.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior production planning/scheduling experience required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English (read, write, and speak) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry plant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn and use scheduling systems used by the Company.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and be a team player.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry plant: 1 year (Preferred)
- Prior production planning/scheduling: 1 year (Required)
