We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting, Finance, and Tax Analyst to join our dynamic consulting team. This role offers an opportunity to work with a team of professionals on complex financial projects, including regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience with various financial software, and a solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
• Lead month/quarter/year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis.
• Prepare and present financial and analytical reporting packages for management, courts, and external parties.
• Reconstruct accounting entries/ financial statements using available source documentation.
• Analyze and resolve complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting memoranda in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Act as a Sr. Accounting/FP&A/Finance analyst for ongoing business cases, including forecasting and financial analysis.
• Perform business, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial analyses using MS Excel and/or MS Access.
• Collaborate closely with the tax department to assist in preparing various tax workpapers/support documents.
Required Qualifications
• 5 years of direct accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• 3 years of experience with a Big 4 or large CPA/Business Consulting firm
• MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Analysis
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Audit experience
• Forensic accounting analysis/accounting reconstruction experience
• Prior experience as a Controller or Sr. FP&A/Sr. Finance/Sr. Accounting Analyst
• Experience with database management tools such as MS Access
• Experience with tax compliance, including Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1120-SF, and 1040
• Business valuation experience
• Business operations or management experience
• Experience managing junior staff and leading full-cycle case or project closings
• Ability to write executive-level reports
Compensation
$132,000 - $168,000 annual base salary DOE
Quarterly Performance Bonus of up to 50% base salary
