Description
We are hiring for two first shift positions:
Pad Mill Utility - This position covers 8 different positions in our pad mill and works where needed, depending on PTO and absences. Work includes operating a pad machine, working on a pad machine in assembly line style, packaging products, driving a forklift, cleaning, sweeping, running a switchboard, and several other tasks. Great for a person who enjoys variety and is a fast learner.
Bale Plant Misc - This position serves as a backup forklift operator in our bale plant department and also covers breaks on 3 different machines - a baler, a machine that makes sediment logs, and a pad machine. The baler and sediment log machine require repetitive heavy lifting, bending, twisting, etc. and are two of our most physically demanding positions, but these jobs are typically done in 15-35 minute increments in this role.
Work hours are 5 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday and most Fridays are mandatory overtime 5 am - 1:30 pm. We never work Saturday or Sunday!

As part of our interview process, candidates will participate in a facility tour, where they can see these positions in action and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing any of these jobs, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, clench, grip, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. This job requires repetitive hand, arm, and wrist movements. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Operating the baler requires repetitive lifting of 75-pound bales. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Steel/composite toe boots/shoes and safety glasses are required. The working conditions are noisy and dusty; associates are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
CANDIDATE MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL, JOB FUNCTIONALITY TEST, and DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.
