Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing or industrial setting. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, control systems, and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, including complex wiring, motors, circuit boards, and PLCs.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical components such as switches, panels, transformers, fuses, and breakers.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the safe operation of the facility and contribute to process improvements.
- Assist in upgrading electrical systems or installing new equipment as needed.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and any parts used.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical training program or apprenticeship in electrical maintenance preferred.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and other industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or on-call shifts as needed.
