About the Role
American Dream Auto Protect is seeking an experienced Google Ads Specialist to manage and optimize our paid search lead-generation campaigns. This is a fully in-house, on-site position based in Edison, New Jersey. This role is not remote or hybrid.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of hands-on Google Ads experience, a strong understanding of high-intent lead generation, and is comfortable working in a performance-driven environment. This role works directly with executive leadership (CEO, CFO, and CMO) and plays a key role in lead quality, cost efficiency, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Google Ads Execution & Optimization
Manage day-to-day execution of Google Ads campaigns (Search, Call-Only, Performance Max where appropriate)
Build, launch, and optimize campaigns focused on qualified, high-intent inbound leads
Own and continuously optimize:
Keyword research and match types
Negative keyword strategy
Bid strategies (tCPA, Max Conversions, etc.)
Ad copy, extensions, and testing
Optimize campaigns to consistently meet CPL and CPA targets
Lead Quality & Performance Focus
Prioritize lead quality over lead volume
Monitor lead outcomes and adjust campaigns to reduce:
Junk or low-intent leads
Fraudulent or invalid traffic
Partner with sales and leadership to improve lead-to-sale conversion rates
Implement and manage:
Conversion tracking
Call tracking and lead validation tools
Offline conversion imports where applicable
Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze campaign performance using:
Google Ads
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Tag Manager
Monitor key KPIs including:
Cost per lead (CPL)
Cost per acquisition (CPA)
Conversion rate
Provide clear performance updates and insights to leadership
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure all ads and landing pages comply with Google Ads policies
Proactively manage ad disapprovals and policy issues
Maintain strong account health while scaling responsibly
Adapt messaging and strategy for compliance-sensitive industries (warranties, insurance, finance)
Executive Collaboration
Work directly with executive leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and CMO
Provide regular performance updates, insights, and recommendations
Align paid search execution with company growth and revenue goals
Role Goals & Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by:
Consistent delivery of qualified, high-intent leads
Meeting or exceeding agreed-upon CPA and CPL targets
Improved lead-to-sale conversion rates
Strong Google Ads account health and compliance

Required Qualifications
5 years of hands-on Google Ads experience
Proven success managing lead-generation campaigns
Strong understanding of:
Paid search optimization
Conversion tracking and attribution
Bid strategy and budget efficiency
Comfortable in a performance-driven, in-house environment
Able to collaborate directly with executive leadership
Able to work on-site in Edison, NJ

Experience marketing:
Vehicle service contracts
Auto warranties

Insurance or financial products
Call tracking and offline conversion experience
Prior in-house marketing experience
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is:
Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. Any such incentives are not guaranteed and are based on individual performance and business results. Performance incentives, if applicable, are tied to measurable outcomes such as cost per acquisition (CPA), lead quality, and overall campaign performance.
