Job Title: Business Development Manager (Marketing Agency)Location: Dallas, TX -or- St. Louis, MOExperience: A minimum of 3 years in Agency Sales and/or Partnership DevelopmentRole OverviewAmerican Direct is seeking a talented, experienced Business Development Manager for an exciting opportunity to join our team.We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our client portfolio. At American Direct we put a singular focus on our client’s success. We do this by delivering measurable results through direct response marketing. Your job is to identify prospective clients with companies with national scale, articulate our value proposition, and close deals.The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the marketing landscape — funnels, measurement metrics, and channels — and knows how to consult a prospect rather than just pitch them.Key Responsibilities:Full Funnel Sales: Beginning with market research, owning the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting and lead qualification through final contract negotiation.Strategic Consultative Selling: Understand a prospect’s goals, analyze their current marketing strategies, and identify opportunities where our expertise can enable their success.Pitch Leadership: Lead the creation of high-impact proposals that articulate our strategy as a roadmap to success for each prospective client.Seamless Onboarding: Working in close collaboration with the account team, lead each new client’s onboarding in a professional and efficient manner.Requirements and Qualifications:4-Year College DegreeA minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, preferably within a marketing agency or strategic partnerships.Proven Track Record: A history of exceeding goals and expectations.Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; you can command a room (or a Zoom call) and distill complex messages into a winning narrative.Self-Starter Mentality: You don't wait for leads to drop in your lap; you build the engine that finds them.Working with Numbers: Comfortable working with and analyzing numbers. Ability to Travel: Comfortable traveling as needed, with no more than 25% of the time expected.This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Development and provides opportunities for professional development and growth.
