Job Summary
We are looking for a Deli Cook to join our team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook steam table food and sides from scratch. (ex: chicken marsala, sesame chicken, meatloaf, fresh turkey, mash potato, rice etc.)
- Bake muffins, croissants, banana breads, cookies etc.
- Make soups
- Make hot catering food items
- Cut and cook chicken and also cook bacons
- Clean and organize Kitchen walk-in and kitchen shelves
- Clean working areas in the kitchen and also help wash dishes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of deli products and assist in restocking as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A passion for food and a willingness to learn new skills related to the culinary field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
