American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Mechanic to join our Manufacturing team on 1st shift.

In this role, you’ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment used in large-scale manufacturing projects. This is a great opportunity for early-career mechanics or experienced tradespeople looking to grow their skills in a structured, safety-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Install, assemble, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and equipment

Perform routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently

• Use precision measuring tools and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints 
• Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Conduct testing to verify proper equipment operation after repairs
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personnel to improve machine performance
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
• Follow all safety regulations and document maintenance and repair work

What We’re Looking For

Education 

Skills, Experience & Attributes

• Entry level to 4 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment
• Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience using general hand tools and shop equipment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Able to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
• Safety-focused and dependable
