ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Repair and fabricate mining equipment and machinery
- Ability to learn, work with, and interact with fellow employees in a friendly and safe work environment
- Performing tasks effectively and efficiently
- Working safely in all areas
- Moving and placing large components safely with cranes and boom trucks
- How to safely rig heavy objects
- Understanding the basics of rotating machinery alignments
- Experience with installing, removing, and maintaining deep well submersible pumps
- Perming the installation, removal, and maintenance of mine ventilation fans
- Performing maintenance tasks associated with mine elevators and mine hoist
- Performing maintenance tasks associated with overland and underground mine conveyors
- Ability to take and pass the MSHA Electrical test
Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in areas mentioned above
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Trade school certifications or any form of advanced education allow for a possible higher starting salary
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Compliance with company policies, procedures and safety standards
- MSHA Certification (training available if needed)
- Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test, company physical and background check
- Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
- Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to work 8-10 hour work days Monday – Friday with possible overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
- 24/7 coverage is required. You will be subjected to call outs.
- Must be able to work any shift (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
- Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
- Ability to push/pull as needed
- Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
- Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere when needed
