Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Corps Members at The Montana Business Assistance Connection. In this role, you will engage in meaningful service projects that benefit the community while gaining valuable skills and experience. Corps Members will work collaboratively with fellow team members to address community needs, promote social change, and foster personal growth. Members will begin September 8th, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Engage with local leaders, residents, business owners, and public officials to build trust, gather input, and ensure community voices guide planning efforts.
- Support and co-develop local and regional planning initiatives, including Community Needs Assessments and Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS).
- Identify digital access barriers, promote digital literacy, and help partners implement inclusive strategies that bridge the digital divide.
- Collaborate with Economic Development Organizations to design and execute projects that enhance placemaking, community resilience, and economic opportunity.
- Facilitate workshops, listening sessions, and collaborative visioning that help communities reimagine their future and chart actionable paths forward.
Experience
- Previous experience in community service, volunteer work, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
