POSITION SUMMARY
The X-ray Operator plays a critical role in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment by utilizing X-ray imaging technology to inspect and evaluate internal structures of components and assemblies. This position ensures that products meet stringent quality and safety standards without compromising structural integrity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct X-ray inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Operate inspection equipment to examine internal structures of manufacturing components.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records for compliance and traceability.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to report findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and radiation protection standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 1-3 years’ experience operating an X-ray machine in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Experience of inspecting SMT PCBs
- Technically minded
- Excellent computer skills
- Quality control and part identification experience
- Attention to detail
- Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment used in the area. Soldering experience toward IPC-A-610 standards is an asset.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructions and have good communication skills in English.
- Ability to deal with changing priorities daily.
- Prefer at least 1 year experience in an electronics assembly environment.
